Every parent is concerned about bringing the best to their children. Parents are filters that scan everything before reaching the child. However, certain wrong methods creep right under the eyes of watchful parents and harm the way young minds think or grow up. Sometimes, even the parents unknowingly take the wrong turn. So, what is right and what is not?   

There is a very thin line between what is best for the kids and what is not. At times, as a parent, you might do or take a step that could bring a good outcome for your kids, and sometimes it doesn’t. So, it is not only necessary to be watchful and decide for your kids what is wrong and what is right, but it is also important to understand and advise your kids wisely.

• Taking the right approach to discipline your kids
• Not ignoring your kid’s perspective
• Not criticizing the kids.
• Not over-praising the kids
• Not unnecessarily pressuring the kids to score higher marks in exams. So on and so forth.

The true value of supervision lies in showing the kids the right path. Moreover, it is also important to mind your way of pointing out things to your kids.   

In this fast-moving era, we are all busy with our personal lives. This generation of kids does not have the benefit of growing up among siblings and relatives in a joint family. Kids in nuclear families battle loneliness from a very young age. It puts a great impact on their personalities. So, never deprive your child of your time. And that’s how you can advise them to be open about their feelings to you. You can tell them that they can find a resort with anything they fear or they think they have done wrong. Be open to your child and advise the right things to them, to put them on the right path.
