For a very long time, we have been inclined to classroom learning or conventional method of learning. It is what we follow even today. Classroom learning is nothing but a learning program that takes place in a physical classroom, where the students and teachers have to come under one roof to learn or teach. For generations, classroom training has been our go-to option to access education. Specifically in India, we are more dependent on learning in classrooms than online education that is also called distance learning or home-schooling. However, times are changing.
Classroom learning has many limitations that follow. It needs a lot of resources, study materials, extra efforts of the education facilitators, infrastructure, and so on. Even with the given resources, the maintenance of all things daily becomes a tougher part for the institutions. Although this form of learning is a very important aspect of a student’s life, it is time to embrace online learning alongside conventional classroom learning.
There are benefits to adopting online learning for the students as well as the educators. It falls light on the pocket of the institutions and students. It is more intuitive and designed to offer effective learning practices. With conventional learning students pay the school or college fees, hostel fees for distant learners, bear the cost of books, and so on. But with online education, they only pay a base fee to access classrooms, resources, and teacher’s fees while sitting at home and learning the course of their choice.
So, you see, how cost-effective and feasible the entire learning process becomes with online learning. Also, the given times need everyone to operate cautiously and be at home for the safety protocols. In these times, classroom learning is almost impossible as institutions are closed. But learning can go a full circle with online education, irrespective of the circumstances.
