Tag: Asynchronous Learning

As we get entangled deeper into this pandemic, we are overwhelmed with the new learning technologies. Learning technologies are picking up at a rapid pace in these times because they are our only resort to continuity of education. Moreover, learning technologies become a bridge that fills the gap between traditional learning and e-learning. It overcomes the limitations of synchronous learning with asynchronous learning.

What is Synchronous Learning and Asynchronous Learning

Learning at the same time and space with your peers and teachers as in the traditional school or college system is synchronous learning. Moreover, asynchronous learning is just the opposite. It means learning at your own pace, on your own time, and at your convenience.

Is Asynchronous Learning Beneficial?

Asynchronous learning changes the learning experience for everyone involved in the cycle. For instance- students can access study materials, classes, practice sessions, and assessments as and when they want to. Similarly, teachers can design courses, offer lean learning, use interactive virtual tools to explain concepts, conduct assessments, and manage student performances individually. Thus, asynchronous learning is not only beneficial but comes with many advantages.

The essence of asynchronous learning is the way it enhances the learning experience. As in synchronous learning, many students of the same class learn the same thing simultaneously. However, asynchronous learning offers freedom to self-paced learning to every student.

Cost-effectiveness Comes Tagging Along with Asynchronous Learning

Millions of students in India travel across states to get admission to the best Indian colleges. They bear the college admission expenses plus the lodging, boarding, and travel expenses throughout their stay to complete a degree. These expenses can be saved by learning online, where asynchronous learning is the key. Students can attend the same colleges from their homes. Get the degree from their choice of college without even spending excessive money on going to a different state and staying there throughout their course.
